Yalun Wang's recent work on bilayer antireflective coating for light management and efficiency enhancement of perovskite solar cells is accepted in Science China Materials!
This work designed broadband antireflective coating using mesoporous silica nanoparticles and fluorinated silica polymers, and achieved enhanced transmittance in the wavelength range from 300 to 800 nm. This coating can be cast on the light incidence side of solar cell devices after their fabrications, contributing to enhanced short-circuit current density and therefore power conversion efficieny. The low surface energy fluorinated polymer also improves the environmental durability of the coating. An high efficiency of 23.9% is demonstrated in this work.
