This work synthesizes ternary heterojunction nanoparticles composed of p-type and n-type organic semiconductors form compact alloy-like composite, leading to enhanced exciton dissociation and charge transfer efficiencies, and consequently resulting in a hydrogen evolution rate (HER) of 307 mmol h-1 g-1 under one-sun illumination with a maximum apparent quantum efficiency (AQY) of 5.9%.
